I think it was fairly predictable that the US was going to do something to escalate the war. The economic sanctions and false flags weren't working to force a regime change into a puppet government that would give US and UK oil corporations access to Iran's oil.

This is it in a nutshell. Trump wants to be reelected. The US military-industrial complex wants war. And Wall Street wants access to Iran's oil. All three are working together to get what each wants. And many of us little people are probably going to die.
