Firefox, the Mozilla Foundation's Internet browser, has announced that it will ban crypto-coin mining activity in its future releases. According to a company note on August 30, the intention is to "contain harmful practices."

The ban should happen because the organization believes that "mining practices make the web a more hostile place."
The company further cautioned that crypto-coin mining is part of a set of deceptive practices that invisibly collect user information.

"Other sites deployed crypto scripts that silently run on the user's device," says an excerpt from the note.

Mozilla, which is a non-profit organization, has reinforced the reason for the ban:

"This is more than protecting users - it's giving them a voice. Some sites will continue to want user data in exchange for content, but now they will have to ask for it. "

The text also had a self-eulogy, where the company cited its pioneering action on blocking pop-up ads in mid-2014.
Google, Apple and Opera banned
About two months ago Google made a change in terms of the developer's policy center and banned cryptomedric mining apps on Google Play.
The ban came at a time when Google and Apple were promoting actions against the mining activity as well as announcements of startups from the crypto-economic market.

By June Apple had already made an update on the guidelines for using the iOS and Mac applications in the Apple Store and had also banned the crypto-coin mining activity on iPhones and iPads.
At the time, the company also reported that other functions, such as managing and marketing crypto-files will still be allowed, but that crypto-coins portfolios should have good sources.

Earlier this year, Opera, which had already introduced the protection against mining in its desktop versions, also extended it to the smartphone browser.
At the time, the company, namesake of the browser, estimated that more than one billion devices worldwide would be slower due to the mining programs.

Wonder if they will allow Authenticated Mininig. If the user agrees to Mine (for a game or charity, ex: https://avocadoclassic.org ) should it not be allowed?

I think yes, it should, with the consent of the user for sure.. it makes sense
