Story.
A young couple, Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse, move into an old townhouse called Bramford, which is associated with several macabre stories. After some time, Rosemary gets pregnant in circumstances she vaguely remembers (she felt ill and sleeping after supper and an oddly tasting dessert, being a treat from her neighbors - the intrusive marriage of Castevets). Pregnant women show disturbing symptoms - aches, pale paleness, weight loss and appetite for bloody meat. A friend of marriage - Hutch - notices that something strange is happening, and when he starts looking for causes, he falls into a mysterious coma and dies. However, he manages to leave Rosemary a book about witchcraft and witches and a hint to his findings. Thanks to this, the woman discovers half of the truth that her neighbors are Satanists who perform their spells over her using herbs, drowned in the night of conceiving a poisoned dessert, donated amulet with magical rituals tannisem, serve daily cocktails to strengthen the pregnant woman. Over time, he begins to suspect his husband and the pregnant doctor, Dr. Sapirstein, for involvement in the conspiracy. The deadline is approaching, the woman is more and more afraid of herself and her child. He asks for help from another doctor, but this - seeing hysterical behavior and hearing unbelievable stories - gives her back to Sapirstein and her husband. Trapped at home and semi-conscious, Rosemary gives birth to a child who is immediately taken away somewhere. The woman does not trust people around her - she does not take the medicines that give her, she does not believe the assurance that the baby is dead. One day he discovers that there is a child just behind the wall and that Satanists gather around him. He goes to them, looks with his motherly longing for a black cradle and then starts screaming terrified (the camera does not show the baby at all). Followers of the devil explain that her son has terrifying eyes after his real father - Satan. The husband himself, who according to her earlier suspicions is in this group, claims that nothing bad has happened. Rosemary gets a proposal from Roman Castevet to take care of her child as a legitimate mother. The film ends with a shot showing the consternation of the main character. It is the conclusion of the viewer whether Rosemary (the heroine is at least Catholic) chooses to bring her child together with the satanists, and thus the antichrist, who is supposed to control the world, or reject the offer of loved ones who betray her and the half-dad herself - a descendant of rape .
