Apple's HomePod just for Apple products and with no built-in battery.
The new Apple product is around the corner and its name is HomePod, it's basically a wireless speaker like Sonos and it will available starting on February nine at 349$ plus tax.
These new speakers will have Bluetooth 5.0 from which, you can assume that can be used with any device that supports this Bluetooth version.

This means that you cannot use any other device to pair the speakers with, like Android or a PC running Windows OS with Bluetooth 5.0.

To send the content HomePod uses Airplay and not Bluetooth, that's the reason for the limited compatible devices. If you already have your apple compatible device you will need an Apple Music subscription for full music functionality.
Something else that you may be wondering is: How long is the battery life? well, it's doesn't last anything! it doesn't have a battery, to be able to use these speakers you will need to plug them to a power outlet in your house.
