Secret Facebook App Revealed - LOL Is Zuckerberg's Newest Meme Based Experiment Being Tested By High School Kids Right Now. Here We Go!
It is no big secret that Facebook isn't popular with the youngest, tech minded market block. They have been dropped by the 25 and under demographic in droves for years now. It seemed for the longest time the companies answer was to cut deals with hardware companies to have their app installed on all of our devices right out of the factory but recently they took that effort a step further by making the install part of you devices firmware and much more difficult to erase. I would argue that getting the app off you phone will be seen as an impossible feat for most users and it is only a matter of time before their spy tactics are a part of your cell phone contract and will be a part of daily life, whether you like it or not.
Thankfully, the adapt will always find a way around these powerful big tech companies and give us an easy way to fix this so we are not being used by the Zuck. Of course, there is a new tactic to keep the shrinking Facebook value from its decent on the stocks page coming out in response.
LOL is being tested by 100 High School kids here in the United States right now behind closed doors. They do have their parents consent but keep in mind that the test subjects are under 18 years of age and should be respected as kids, keeping their privacy in mind is the priority in my opinion.
It is also my opinion that this is an interesting corporate strategy to say the least. I wouldn't allow my kids to participate in this test but I can't judge the parents that did and the kids are exempt from criticism because I do not know what incentives were offered to them.
The feed back so far is nothing to critique either I would say. It seems that the general feeling is that this effort of Facebook is mostly "cringey" and well, that was basically my reaction to hearing about it too so there isn't much for me to complain about so far.
It's good to know I'm not alone in how I feel about this blatant targeting of kids being done by a group notorious for selling personal data, location, and even images/audio along with God knows what else.
I want to be positive in this article though. I say if Facebook wants memes, we should give them memes. Why not help them out in the spirit of sharing right? They want to be known for quick GIFs and memes so I'll do my part in getting the ball rolling for them.

Facebook is such a scam. They should be paying their users.
Yet, people continue to post their personal information on there for free, create content for free, and never slow down. The price of Steem drops, though, and
everyonemany around here just forgets it even exists. I'll never understand that. Even $.01 is more than you'll make on a Facebook post...It made sense when their site was seen as fun, I'd say most folk think of the fighting and name calling there as a hassle and sharing their life story as being a chore. In a perfect world perhaps their model would work, in this one it seems that it's not the best for sure.
I'm glad that i find steemit, otherwise I would be stuck in that spam facebook.
