The Global Financial Crisis Has Begun…Are You Prepared?

An analyst of the global financial system who is based in the UK, Ann Pettifor, predicted the 2008 economic collapse that affected the entire planet back in 2006. Due to high corporate debt and rising interest rates in the U.S., this economic prophetess is now thinking the global economy is at the beginning of another financial crisis that has been set in motion. The Sky News report stated that "she told Sky News that global debt was now more than three times the level of global GDP."

'So naturally it is not going to be repaid, and naturally there is going to come a point when that debt triggers the next crisis. And, for me, that trigger is going to be high rates of interest.'

'We're seeing that companies who borrowed too much money at very low rates of interest are now finding the value of their collateral falling. Their debt is rising and the interest on that debt is rising too.'

She said the US Federal Reserve's decision to wind back its support for the economy, and reverse its programme of quantitative easing, has already laid the ground for the next crisis.

Sky News went on to report that Ann Pettifor told them that the Federal Reserve’s decision in Argentina and Turkey have caused the crisis in those countries. Since the interest rates were increased, it is destroying those countries’ economies and in return, it is essentially strengthening the U.S. dollar. Not only that, but she believes "the new crisis has begun to roll" and it’s not only those countries at risk because she also thinks the UK is "vulnerable" due to Brexit causing volatility in their economy.
