God bless you, this is the most important thing I have read all day. Resteemed upvoted. I quit the NRA when they endorsed Trump because I knew he was going to be the one to usher in gun control, like another Regan, a soft city boy from NYC who used to call for assault weapons bans is no friend of the 2nd Amendment. When it comes from a Democrat everyone opposes gun control but when it comes from a Republican it slides right in. Without massive and concentrated opposition this bump stock ban will be a done deal but that is just a test case.
I know this because it has already happened in my state, a state senator made the insane claim that a device that had only been used in the most recent mass shooting being banned would prevent mass shootings!
Then the next thing you know all the registered gun owners get letters from the state saying if you own these devices you must get rid of them or be a felon. They won't take your guns away, they will declare you a felon for owning them. The same thing happened here for anyone who owns a AK or AR, they don't take it away, you are just a felon now and they can't be sold. They have graciously said they will not be prosecuting everyone who legally purchased and owned these guns for 20 years "at this time".
