Ubisoft reverses Rainbow Six Siege price increase, responds to feedback
Some time ago, Ubisoft increased the prices for their game Rainbow Six Siege. The gaming community of course were not very happy about it.
As a result of the negative feedback, Ubisoft has decided not to replace the game’s Standard Edition with a more expensive Advanced Edition.
In a Reddit post, Ubisoft announced that the Advanced Edition will still go on sale from February 13th, however, the Standard Edition will also remain on sale for players looking to get into the game. The price increases for the Gold Edition and Complete Edition of the game will still occur.
As well as keeping the Starter Edition, Ubisoft also announced that all current players who play a match between now and March 6th will be gifted the Ash Sidewinder Elite skin for free. The skin will be delivered at the start of Season 3 and is presumably being offered in response to anger from loyal players about being left out.
