103-year-old American Investment Bank Cowen To Offer Institutional Crypto Custody

103-year-old American investment bank Cowen Inc. Plans to offer crypto custody services for Institutional hedge fund managers. The Investment Bank partnered with financial technology company PolySign to provide crypto services for institutional clients. Williston in North Dakota Now Accepts Crypto For Utility Payments

The city of Williston of North Dakota has officially started accepting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin for utility payments, according to the announcement by Hercules Cummings, City of Williston finance director. The city partnered with crypto payment firm BitPay for utility payments using Crypto. He said the city is the first municipality in North Dakota, and the third in the nation, to offer this service. Brooker Group In Thai Announced Investing $6.6 Million In Bitcoin

Public company in Thai, The Brooker Group holds 122.3158 bitcoins worth $6.6 million in its balance sheet. The company becomes the first publicly listed company to take this move in Thailand. The Brooker Group offers independent advisory services to private and public clients in the country. The company made it open that it will invest 50% in digital assets in the future, while planning to hold more bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Tim Drapper Defends Bitcoin, Says Even Fiat Uses Much Co2

Almost 70% Bitcoin Mining Pools Are Ready For Taproot’s Second Attempt

One of the biggest Bitcoin upgrades, Taproot, is starting its second signaling after the first one failed to materialize. In order for Taproot to get locked in the protocol upgrade for November, 90% of the blocks mined need to signal their readiness. While 80% of all Bitcoin hash rate is currently signaling for Taproot, less than 10% of blocks has signaled “green” during the last epoch, as per Taproot.watch.
