American family with children in Mexico died due to a faulty water heater

The forensic experts named the final cause of the death of the family from Iowa in the Mexican condominium.  Earlier it was reported that Sharps were killed because of "toxic gases".  Yesterday, March 26, Miguel Angel Pecs, the public prosecutor of Quintana Roo, clarified that the source of the deadly gas was a faulty gas water heater.  "A high concentration of gas was found in the room," Pec said.  According to him, by the time of detection, 41-year-old Kevin Sharp, 38-year-old Emmy and their children - 12-year-old Sterling and 7-year-old Adrianna - have been dead for almost 2 days.  They died where they were at the time of the gas leak - in the room where the children were playing ... The representative of the condominium declined to comment on what had happened.  Recall Sharps went to Mexico for a vacation on March 14 and had to return to the US last Wednesday, March 21.  When this did not happen, the relatives turned to the police.  As reported by the Des Moines Register, they will bury the family at home, in Creston (Iowa).  On Sunday, March 25, hundreds of residents of Creston gathered to honor the memory of the dead.
