ISLAMABAD: The legislature on Saturday declared a significant decrease in oil and diesel costs for the long stretch of March so as to give some help to the swelling hit masses, detailed ARY News.

The one liter cost of petroleum has been decreased by Rs5 to Rs111.60, while that of fast diesel by Rs5 to 122.26.

The cost of light diesel has been diminished by Rs7 to Rs77.51 per liter. The new costs will be viable from March 1.

The administration cut the cost of lamp oil by 7 rupees to 77.51 rupees.

It is to make reference to here that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had suggested a decrease in the costs of oil and diesel.

A rundown requiring a decrease of Rs6 per liter in oil cost and Rs7.50 per liter in the cost of diesel was sent to the Finance Division for endorsement.

The ongoing drop in costs has been credited to a reduction in oil costs in the global market.
