It reminds me of the incident in a small French town in the 50s (there's a RT documentary). Of course being French, the townsfolk thought the psych poison making them go insane was just bad bread - what else was so ubiquitous? Decades later it would turn out the US and French were experimenting with water soluble hallucinogens and had dumped the poison in the water supply.
