BREAKING: SEC RECOGNIZES DAO TOKENS AS SECURITIES
The US Securities and Exchange Comission has concluded that the DAO tokens ARE SECURITIES.
The SEC has determined that DAO tokens can be considered securities under american law, not just that, they are clear to say that this is just a particular investigation but it has to be taken into account because "may other activities as the distributed ledger technology" can fall under U.S federal securities law.

The blockchain without the decentralization is WORTHLESS!
As others have said before, a certain amount of decentralization is going to be required before we can move on to mass adoption. Yes we will lose some of our freedoms but at the same time this will expand the market in ways we cant even see.
We don't need regulation to accomplish mass adoption we only need that mass adoption, the reason for centralization in every level is because people itself can't be entirely fair, well every regulated market in the history has been far from fair.
I believe in the value of the decentralization, the only way the cryptocurrencies can succeed in the way they're supposed to is without the manipulation of the governments, again, in every level, since taxation.
It will be hard for sure but some day people would be able to realize that efficiency can be accomplish without losing any freedom.

I don't know about DAO, and I don't think government control will make things better.....
BUT I DO think there are 'money grabbing' crypto coins and initiatives that are cancerous to the progression of decentralized free exchange.
I don't know what the answer is, but strongly believe the madness that has happened over the last 18months has been harmful and destructive, to people and to efforts to use cryptocurrencies for freedom and liberty and noble purposes.
What should we do???(Notice, I didn't ask "what should be done?")
