Now, pay your EB bills via mobile phone app

This will benefit 2.7 crore consumers of Tangedco

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) consumers now have one more easy option of paying electricity bills. Tangedco, which has a vibrant online payment mechanism, has launched a mobile app for payment of bills.

Electricity Minister P. Thangamani launched the app at the Tangedco’s headquarters here on Wednesday. Tangedco chairman and managing director M. Saikumar and Energy Secretary Vikram Kapur were present.

Addressing media persons, he said a total of 2.7 crore low-tension (LT) consumers will be benefited. Already Tangedco has made provisions for paying electricity bills at bank counters, post offices and e-seva centres in addition to online facility maintained by the Electricity Department.
