IOTA: Official Launch TODAY!

The much-anticipated official launch of IOTA (IOT) is today June 13, 2017 on https://www.bitfinex.com . IOTA, is an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) that has been touted by some as the "Bitcoin Killer". All that remains to be seen but it does seem to address some of Bitcoin's Achilles Heels (yes Bitcoin has more than a few). I can't be the only one who wonders how Bitcoin has managed to stay ahead with its slow transaction rate, limited transaction handling capacity, and the fees, we can't ignore the fees any longer. Overall, there has been a lack of any real innovation in Bitcoin for quite some time.

The "Tangle" technology on which IOTA is built is not built upwards by a sequence of blocks like the blockchains we know today. Instead, it relies on a weblike structure of nodes that are built downward and are more spread out. This tangled web they weave claims to be more scalable, decentralized, faster, more secure and all this with no fees.
