The Fall of the US could be a legacy of the SCOTUS Citizens United decision.

The DNC, during the 2016 election lost all credibility as a political party. The exposure of corporate money making deals in comparison to a more monetarily pristine candidate for the nomination led to a resounding loss to Donald Trump, who, as he saw the popularity of progressive ideas, started to campaign on a more & more progressive platform and WON!
The world was stunned.
Here we are, 14 months or so later, and we are all staring at the results of the wholesale capitulation of SCOTUS to the idea that corporations can talk with money.
For whatever reason SCOTUS made the decision to step firmly into the social experiment of allowing corporations to openly purchase lawmakers; it was, without any doubt the ticking time bomb that has brought the US, the richest nation on earth to this moment in time.
POTUS, elected by a grass roots rejection of corporate lawmaking, allowing the surviving political party to pass laws stripping citizens of their rights, wealth and health and passing a budget that creates wealth for the top corporate donors and the Mighty Military Industry, is sitting in the White House, the seat of power of The United States of America, watching TV, eating junk food and railing about firing the justice system as it reaches into his private life, and having the audacity to follow the trail of ............... exactly what ever it is that is making an angry raving, sociopathic narcissist lose his marbles.
I am not saying the Citizens United decision is the cause of the obvious implosion of the 2 party system, I am, however saying I believe that decision allowed politicians to be owned & operated by profit seeking corporations and individual owners 'talking' with more money than any politician in our history has ever been able to raise from the citizens alone.
That's where the strongest and most credible progressive voice almost toppled the 2 party system came from, the voice that convinced POTUS to go 'progressive' because that was where "We the People" were.
But that voice has been legislated against!
I am talking about the voice of "We the people" who are seen as a commodity, as a 'information packet' to be sold to corporations who want to influence, advertise to, or propagandize into being compliant workers.
Workers who are accounted as a liability! AN EXPENSE!
That is and will always be the predatory corporate vision of labor, there are corporations that see their client base disappear, manufacturers who see declining sales now that the labor force of our nation is in more & more debt and cutting back on consumption in order to eat.
But the CEO's and owners who are determining the fate of $300 Million people in the US and billions more all over the world with their profit seeking, corporate made wars for profit are after all, only able to own & operate our government because the "Citizens United" decision gave them complete control.
