I'm sure they did, it's their job as a country just as the United States interfere with global scale elections. The thing you can't believe is that there was any direct intervention with the voting system to warrant any wrongdoing. Sponsored content and FaceBook don't count, and neither does information programming to sway the minds of voters. The American public is only now becoming aware of questioning authority and has let this kind of thing slide for decades. Beliefs are not proof. Politics is manipulation, plain and simple.
I didn't even consider that disinformation tactic to convince people that Wikileaks was synonymous with Russia, and this came from damage control in the Clinton campaign, as did the term "fake news". Now we see where all that got us.
I don't think many people deny that Russia probably tried to interfere in our election. What most thinking people are upset about is that there is no evidence that Trump "colluded" with the Russians, or that the Russians were the ones that hacked the DNC. The Dems wouldn't even let the CIA or FBI inspect its servers that were supposedly hacked. Seth Rich was almost definitely the leaker, and the DNC blamed it on Russia and planted fake evidence.
Even if Russia tried to interfere, they had very little impact on the outcome. Hillary lost because she was the most corrupt, unlikeable, evil candidate ever to run.

This is very true. The elite people involved with government work together to manipulate the outcome of the “so called” elections. A good point to bring up is the difference between elect and select. There is no doubt that Russia attempts to manipulate elections in other countries, every country that has a power does the same, even Kazakhstan interferes with the elections of Kyrgyzstan.
