Extreme weather in Czech Republic continues: record highs replaced with record lows
Hi everyone!
It was just a couple of days ago when I published the last post about the scorching heatwave that was devastating my homeland, the Czech Republic, as well as most other European countries and today, I am coming with another post dedicated to weather but this time, it will be about the opposite extreme.
That is right - the temperatures reaching as high as up to 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit) were replaced with a wave of extreme coldness with the lowest temperatures being freezing minus 8.5 degrees Celsius (17 degrees Fahrenheit) registered during the early morning of Monday, August 27, in the Sumava Mountains.

On that day, freezing temperatures were even recorded at several locations around the capital city of Prague and just a few hundred kilometers further south in the Austrian Alps, the locals woke up to a shocking scene as some areas got covered with as much as up to 40 cm (16 in) of fresh snow! Considering we are still in the middle of the summer, these anomalies seem very unusual. So if you are heading to Central Europe these days, be ready for pretty much any kind of weather :)
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

Is summer that cold over there?
These climate changes are very worrying because of pollution that is why the Czech Republic has published its plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next three decades. Fuel consumption, personal transportation and electricity generation are major goals.
There are so many things that are really worrying when it come to nature.... We all really have start living a more responsible lives if we do not want to destroy our planet..... Those things do have to come from government interventions and proper laws being put in place....
You're right my friend ..
We are to be blamed for disrupting the nature.... And all this is, directly or indirectly, related to this disruption
Yep, unfortunately we are.... it is time to start doing something about it....
True! And we should act NOW.
Holy sh@t @czechglobalhosts that is wild extremes.
We need to switch climates for a few days. Down here in Texas its 100% humidity and over 100 degrees
omg, I would probably die in Texas......
I wonder whays happening out there in Czech Republic Tomas! Sometimes it is struck by a devastating geat wave and temperatures go as far as 38 °C and now it drops so immensely. Thanks for sharing the news. Perhaps the heat wave is over but now the freezing is started.
Unfortunately, that is the consequences of us humans living irresponsibly and not taking care of our planet.....
Hello @czechglobalhosts, friend in venezuela when it is very hot a good refreshing drink to refresh our body, we would fall badly and good for cold a good coat would be comfortable to keep you warm.
