Texas Man Plays Dangerous Gun Game
People in Texas are stereotypically gun crazy, but this is beyond the pine. There is a limit to how much of a game you can make REAL GUNS and this is something that ended up far exceeding what should have been allowed. (Which is nothing - Most gun owners know that)
So yeah, a Texas man played with fire, and he got burned so badly that he died. Here's a video in hopes that we can avoid such stupidity in the future.
I guess you could also say that it is yet another reason that we need gun control. It's not only the crazy people that we need to get the guns away from, it's also the stupid ones. The last thing I want is some moron with a gun that seems to think it's a good idea to stress test a bulletproof vest. Before long he'll be trying to shot people just to see if their tee-shirt is bulletproof, for all the brain cells that he seems capable of using.

How can you have the money and passion for weaponry to get a ballistic vest yet lack the knowledge and gun discipline to shoot live weaponry at it while wearing? Even if the vest was resistant to that particular shot, at the distance you would have to be wearing it to be effective at there's a good chance the person could miss (compounded by the fact anyone decent enough of a shot would have the weapon discipline to not do this in the first place).
If you want to waste your ballistic vest by shooting it for shits and giggles, buy a watermelon or something.
