this is embarrassing but I didn't know shit about South Africa until I was in my early 20s and I went to private schools and shit. They just never ever touched on the subject. There might have been one sentence on Apartheid and Nelson Mandela and Africa but I remember being like 21 and just learning that there was a country called "South Africa" full of white people. @davidpakman
