When there is talk of the world economy going into a recession due to the pandemic, a UN body, the UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), in a recent report has stated that the Chinese and the Indian economies may be the only ones to survive.
A quote from the report reads,
the world economy will go into recession this year with a predicted loss of global income in trillions of dollars. This will spell serious trouble for developing countries, with the likely exception of China and the possible exception of India,
Though the details of why they think so is rather sketchy, it is still an interesting revealation.
