Coca-Cola begins to engage in ALCOHOL.
The Coca-Cola Corporation decided to release an alcoholic "soda" and offer it to the Japanese. The upcoming novelty of this year was reported by the Financial Times.
Alcohol is used by the company for the first time in its 125-year history. The drink will be released in the category of "tu-hai", that is, carbonated drinks with a strength of 3 to 9 percent alcohol. The basis of this soda is a national drink shochu, a fortress of about 25 degrees, obtained by distilling a rice brew. Also included in the composition is fruit juice.
Coca-Cola became interested in the alcoholic market, as tu-hai drinks are gaining popularity in Japan recently. The release of a low-alcohol beverage in the company is perceived as an experiment. In other countries, this experience will most likely not be repeated.
