German sounds like a parody of English to me... The worst parts of English are turned up to eleven, like how we put two words together to make one word.

I didn't know 'speise' meant food... I always assumed it was 'spice'! Although I knew every other word. :)
Although it may interest you to know that the English word for 'Food of the Gods' is 'Ambrosia'; which is also a name given to gelatin desert.
Spice is "Gewürz" btw
