That is a good question you ask at the end. It's sad that bad news sells better than good news, but perhaps it's what we need for balance (without darkness we cannot appreciate the light), and perhaps it is as you suggested, as a means to expose things like corruption. It does make me wonder what would happen if we took the profit out of News, would it change the type of news reported or its quality? More food for thought. Thank you for this post, I really enjoyed it :)
hey @cript0rhodes, thanks for reading. yep, that is such a big question. in theory, that's why public service media were created but in many countries political reasons took over and changed their nature...so really don't know :(
