I had no idea! Gun control in this instance and during that time frame was obviously racist. I would not say it continues to be. Down through history disarming the people has always been followed by abuse of the now unarmed people. Australia has been recently disarmed, but their time for regretting it has yet to come.
It is interesting to see that gun control is still much more prevalent in urban areas, the exact reason for this is disputed, but many people feel that race is a variable
I agree, but people who need to live close to each other believing that their security is in numbers is opposite of those who believe that security lies within themselves as the dividing point. Is this numbers vs. self reliance at the core of should we or should we not control guns? Are there examples of this in nature like the schools of fish avoiding predators counting on security in numbers or every fish for himself.
