Sorry my "friend", but your over_standing of re_ality is basic and lacks (seemingly...) spiritual developement. The so called "people" you are talking about do not exist, there are individual, purposely divided and indoctrinated "egos" (the false intra-Matrix-mask/-persona riding the SOUL...) which are gathered in a gigantic sheeple-farm (aka Matrix).

There won´t be a collective awakening, as it is only happening on the level of individual souls. If ONE(=NEO) is is the process of waking up (a life-long process => experience=wisdom and pure truth), s/he has to find a new way/purpose in life (leave the damn TITANIC behind!), find/gather true people/souls around her/him and try to start something new (parallel-society based on true values). A better, new micro-society which would be based on true values, natural laws, respect/empathy (nature), spiritual freedom/awakening etc.

99,99 % of the laserlight does not the main (cutting) work and is an unconscious (but necessery) part of the whole/holistic "machine". If you over_stood the MATRIX TRILOGY, you´ll knew by now that only a tiny fraction of humanity can be truly awake (without judging...).

Your so called "people" is a fictional term (as is the "masses"), we are individual souls or were intra-Matrix-egos and breathe/live/work for ourselfes (at most for our children/families); all those big-concepts (democracy-lie etc.) are lies/illusions and fictional concepts (as are the satanic NEW AGE RELIGION doctrics like "we all are one, we all are GOD") which make us feel "better" (=asleep).

Give the sheeple (99,99 % of the laser) an alpha-wave-hypnosis-box (aka TV) and they are "happy"...

Most of humanity will stay asleep (the Matrix can/will never "die" because it is necessary!) or do whatever they are told to, however they are indoctrinated (cognitive-emotional manipulation of both brain hemispheres -> study Prof. Dr. Hüther from Germany...) and minipulated to live an "ordo ab chao", "divide et impera", "bread and circusses" pseudo-life...

Those who are in the process of awakening (becoming more and more consciouss), have to do so because it is part of their game plan...
