New York Lawmakers Are Open to Revisiting the BitLicense

"Anyone in the crowd that does not think the BitLicense needs to be reformed?"

But the question itself, posed by New York state senator Jesse Hamilton at a roundtable Friday, hinted that the controversial 2015 regulation may soon be revisited.

South Korean Cryptocurrency Exchanges Evaluate Self-Regulations

An association of South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges said that it is planning to check if its members are following a set of self-regulatory cryptocurrency measures adopted last year, local journal Yonhap News reported Feb. 21.

The Korean Blockchain Industry Association, which is currently comprised of 33 of South Korea’s cryptocurrency exchanges, stated that it is going to carry out evaluations of 21 participants, including major trading platforms Coinone, Bithumb, and Korbit.

Montana Scores $250 Million Bitcoin Mining Campus

The Big Sky Country state of Montana keeps raking them in. For the second time this month, a mining operation is announcing its moving to the Butte area. Power Block Coin LLC is reportedly plunking down a quarter of a billion dollars to upgrade existing facilities to mine the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, bitcoin.

Bank Of America Cites Cryptocurrency Risks In Annual SEC Filings

In its annual 10-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bank of America (BofA) made several references to cryptocurrencies as risk factors. This is the first time that BofA has formally documented concerns about virtual currencies.

Titanium ICO Suffers Theft of 16 Million Tokens from Company Wallets

We have seen multiple initial coin offerings suffer mysterious hacks and other problems after their token sales ended. It is one of the major issues associated with this particular industry.
