I think that President elects are ignorant in a lot of things until they get into office and have their "come to jesus" meeting with NSA and CIA and learn a lot of really shitty things. I have always believed that the CIA was in part responsible. Remember Nixon set up a covert assassination squad called the S Team to kill Castro. Members of this team were in Dallas that morning.
