Cynicism Givings on Honduras
In 2009 there was a coup in Honduras.
It was allegedly bloodless and the term 'coup' remains in question.
While The Huffington Post calls the ousting of then president Manuel Zelaya a coup in this article
Wikipedia considers him to have been ‘deposed’ in what they call a ‘Constitutional Crisis’
According to the Huffington Post article, Zelaya was removed for arranging an assembly to replace the 1982 constitution which was written in the last days of a military dictator named Policarpo Paz Garcia which was "perfectly legal under Article 5 of the 2006 Honduran Civil Participation Act, which allows public functionaries to perform such non-binding public consultations regarding policy measures.”
Evidently, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, disregarded then US Ambassador to Honduras, Hugo Llorens' official, and documented opinion that the coup was unconstitutional, and her department refused to suspend US aid to Honduras (as required when a democratically-elected government is ousted in such a manner).
By her own admission in her book, Hard Choices, she directed efforts at resisting the reinstatement of Zelaya, completely disregarding the will of the Honduran general public and direction of the UN General Assembly.
Subsequent leadership is said to have been instituted militarily and has overseen 6 years of increasing repression and now is reportedly title holder for the highest murder rate in the world.
If all of this is true, anyone could understand why there is a growing mass of Honduran's headed our way barefoot and bleeding, thirsty for both hydration as well as the wealth of opportunity offered from the ample bosom of America.
It's a heartbreaking thing to behold.
For president Trump, and the US, I fear, there is no winning with this situation, though.
If we acquiesce and allow this invasion, we are setting a very unsavory and highly dangerous precedent. We're telling the rest of the world that, if they gather in masses large enough we can be bullied into submission and will roll up like a beetle into a ball while they march on through...at which point our borders become nothing more than lines on a map.
On the other hand, if we fight it, what does that look like?
As noted in an October 22, 2018 article "President Donald Trump has said that he has alerted the military and federal border authorities that a US-bound migrant caravan from Central America was a “national emergency”, and warned that the United States would begin curtailing aid to the region," although the pentagon, as of today, reports that it has yet to receive further direction regarding this alert.
One must consider history in this situation, with a measured amount of trepidation...
and unmitigated prayer.

Who are Pueblos In Fronteras?
“The caravan started on October 12, 2018 and it was allegedly organized by an ex-congressman of Honduras called Bartolo Fuentes, he was part of the caravan and was updating his facebook profile with testimonies and photos of the caravan but once he arrived to Guatemala he was detained and deported back to Honduras. The chancellery of Honduras says he organized the caravan, provided transportation while in Honduras and made false promises to the immigrants like saying that he had been promised by the Guatemalan and Mexican government safe passage from them, he's also being accused of working with "political powers" to destabilize the country. He denies this and says that the government is looking for scapegoats to deny the humanitarian crisis his country is living...but I mean, to think that 7,000 leaderless people decided to make a caravan out of the blue seems like a long shot...”
The caravan consists of 7,233 people according to a mexican association that aides immigrants (Casa Migrante Saltillo)
2622 men
2234 women
1070 boys
1307 girls
On the Mexican side, the Mexican ambassador in the USA, Geronimo Gutierrez, said:
“We have evidence that this caravan is also very much politically motivated. We’re obviously sensitive to the humanitarian situation that we encounter, and we’re acting precisely. But we have also made very clear that there’s no legal ground on which Mexico can issue a permit by which people can just go through Mexico toward the United States."

Interesting that at this time, corporate media is calling those who criticise Mr George Soros “anti-Semitic” and reporting that a bomb was found in his mailbox. I guess people might believe that shit

If these people felt they needed to become refugees, they could have gone to our embassy and applied for assylum. If this is a result of Hilary's action then I think it only fair that the Clinton Foundation make reparations to these people.
There is video of someone handing out money to these people. This is totally political. After the drama of caged children, who knows what kind of non-sense this is going to cause.
I feel for those actually fleeing. As a first generation American, I know from my dad and grandmother what it is like to flee from your homeland (Latvia which was invaded by the communist USSR in 1939-40). They fled to war torn Germany and then to this country. They did not come illegally, they did it the right way by getting a sponsoring family and then the hell of Ellis Island (grandma's and aunts lung x-rays were stole by some Jews with TB, so they had to wait another month for the x-ray tech to come).
Look at all the new illnesses are coming to this country because most crossing the border are not medically checked out.
American's are the most generous people in the world but this is out of control. I agree, if we allow them in, more will follow.
Our congress has not even dealt with the DACA people yet. Enough already!
