The Age Of The Hour Long Youtube Video
I have mentioned this to a few people that were trying to get into the livestreaming business. I told them that youtube was now prioritizing videos longer than 10 minutes and then it climbed to a full hour. People are starting to create tv show length content and quality. Enjoy the read!
The YouTube algorithm gives me a lot of mixed feelings. On the one hand I love long form high quality content, but one of the reasons people love YouTube is because so much of the content is organic user generated content. That still exists but first it has to make it through the YouTube algorithm sieve to fit not only their time preferences but their ideology. I don't want to give the impression that I'm anti-AI curation. We need a way to efficiently sift through content, but that's why I'm really excited about the dapp Steeve. It's a Steem interface that uses AI to sort through content. The great thing about the Steem blockchain is that anyone can hook up their website to it, feed their AI the blockchain's output, and create an organic content feed that achieves their goals.
