They tend to have great stories
My take
California has been a breeding ground for sting operations on legal cannabis operations. The feds have been working unobstructed while the people have been afforded very little state protections. Recently, Cali went rec, which is a big step for at least 1 million people.
Many are not happy with Cali regulations.
States who legalize cannabis regulate the plant, uphold criminalization of the plant, and of course tax the plant. Here is the kicker, cannabis is an essential nutrient.
Cannabis Is An Essential Nutrient
What does that even mean?
Well, for instance, salt is an essential nutrient yet unlike cannabis, salt is 100% proven to be lethal, even in small amounts.
Eat a half ounce of salt and your dead. Eat a half ounce of cannabis and your sleeping or eating.
Imagine If Salt Was Taxed
Imagine if an essential nutrient we know we need was taxed. Salt, we have ascertained, is 100% lethal, yet anyone can buy as much salt as we want, anytime of day, anywhere.
Why is cannabis an essential nutrient?
Cannabinoids protect cells from free radicals.

@burntmd awesome post. Really interesting insight you're outputting. I talk frequently with my psychiatrist about the way cannabis interacts within the brain on an microscopic level.
There are cannabinoid receptors within our brain. The substance however is not naturally produced within our body. It's almost as if they've given us a direct use in our brain for this substance.
Natives had the right idea. Look into Graham Hancock, he has phenomenal talks. Psychedelics will bring the freedom of our brains and the freedom for the people.

@burntmd Nice post. Just wanted to clarify some points you made about the endocannabinoid system (ECS.) The ECS is composed neurotransmitters in our brain that bind to cannabinoid receptors throughout our whole body. Some of these "substances" , like anandamide, are actually made within our body. Other "substances" like THC are not.

Colorado residents ran into problems because it's not just one computer system your record is recorded in. Like the police, courts, parole etc. all have their own computer systems. You don't just hit "delete" and it's gone. It's going to be hard to get rid of of your record everywhere. The whole system was set up to share information not to get rid of information.
Canada and the USA share information when you try to come up here it could still be on our system. I know for sure whatever you do in Canada your record is on US customs forever you need to apply for a waiver, they don't recognize a Canadian pardon. So international travel could still be a hassle for California residents. You can't force, say Australia, to delete a California conviction from their system....
