What is the EEA?

EEA stands for Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. Their purpose is to build real world applications of smart contracts off of the Ethereum blockchain. The EEA brings together interested organizations looking to incorporate blockchain technology to their applications, with Ethereum Subject Matter Experts to bridge the knowledge gap and create enterprise-capable software.

What does this mean for Ethereum?

This is a huge win for those investing in Ethereum. With the on boarding of 34 new organizations since late May, the EEA is now the world's largest open-source blockchain initiative, with over 150 organizations participating. This is an incredible backing, since the initiative was only launched in February of this year.

“EEA’s rapid growth in membership mirrors the accelerating acceptance and deployment of Ethereum blockchain solutions in the global marketplace,” said Julio Faura, chairman of the board, EEA. “The technological breadth, depth and variety of organizations coming together under the auspices of EEA to create and drive enterprise Ethereum standards bodes well for the future development of the next-generation Ethereum ecosystem.”

Now with more organizations officially supporting Ethereum blockchain technology, we will begin to see a rise in investors, causing the price of ETH to go up! Of course this is just speculation.
