'NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) 5th December 2018: NATO Foreign Ministers conclude two-day meeting in Brussels.
On Tuesday, NATO Foreign Ministers agreed that Russia has developed and fielded a new ground-launched cruise missile system – the SSC-8, or 9M729 – which violates the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. Allies expressed firm commitment to preserving effective international arms control, and agreed to keep the fielding of the Russian missiles under close review. Secretary General Stoltenberg said: "Russia now has a last chance to come back into compliance with the INF Treaty, but we must also start to prepare for a world without the Treaty."

Foreign Ministers also met with their colleagues from Georgia and Ukraine. They stressed the Alliance's strong political and practical support for both countries, especially in the face of continuing aggressive actions from Russia. They expressed particular concern about Russia's actions near the Sea of Azov, and called on Moscow to release the Ukrainian sailors and ships seized in late November. Allies agreed to keep working to prepare Georgia for NATO membership, and welcomed the country's significant progress on reforms. They also recognized Ukraine's aspirations to join the Alliance, and encouraged Kyiv to continue on the path of reform.

'THE GUARDIAN 3rd December 2018: MI6 chief urges Russia: 'Do not underestimate our capabilities'-Video.
The head of MI6 (Alex Younger) will warn Russia not to underestimate the UK’s ability to retaliate in the wake of the Salisbury nerve agent attack, in a speech in which he will explain why Britain is developing “fourth-generation” espionage for a new and disturbing age.
Alex Younger will also set out how his agency, known formally as the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), is preparing to strengthen ties with sister agencies in Europe amid continuing uncertainty over the possible repercussions of Brexit for security.
The UK’s enemies are probing UK institutions and defences in ways that fall short of traditional warfare. To counter this, MI6 is having to innovate by “fusing” the information it gets from human intelligence with what it can learn from artificial intelligence and the exponential rise in technology.

➧ Day One – Progress Internationally
The first day of the Forum will be devoted to finding out what is actually going on at the cutting edge of court technology around the world. The focus will be on online courts, including: submission of legal evidence and argument online, online decision-making by judges, ODR within court systems, online help and diagnostics for court users, and other advanced technologies. We will want answer to the following questions. What systems are up and running? What impact have they had and how is this being measured? How have they been funded and how much have they cost? What techniques and technologies are being used? What have been the main obstacles and how have they been overcome? What are the plans for the future?
➧ Day Two – Looking forward
In the second half of the conference, we will look forward, into the 2020s, and discuss some of the central issues that will face policymakers, judges, technologists, and lawyers, who are planning or introducing online courts. The discussion will proceed in panels. Each will be chaired by leading legal figures from the UK, we will receive provocations by experts in each topic, with panelists then responding, and thereafter, there will contributions from the floor.'
