A viral video showing news anchors all over the nation reading the exact same words verbatim has people wondering, is this fake news?
The promotional content all comes from media giant Sinclair, who owns all of these local broadcast news stations.
But is Sinclair the only broadcaster that controls what its anchors and reporters say?

Yes. This is not new, it happens all the time and it happens everywhere. Even in my country. It's just that here, in South Africa, news are reported not only in English but 10 other languages as well. But guess what? They are all the same. The fact that it's reported in a different language kind of makes this less suspicious and recognisable, but if you listen carefully and translate you'll find that it's the exact same thing. There is only one particular News station that is not controlled by the Government. That's the more reliable one.
There is much promise in decentralized, block-chain type of technologies to combat this problem.
We could begin to collect news, data and information in a more transparent manner by incorporating these technologies, IMHO.
What if news was collected in open source, transparent manners, that is not manipulated by a central source?
It would require a whole transformation of the current trends of the Internet.
Centralized news can then be manipulated in masterful ways, especially with new advances in the centralized social media systems.
De-centralized systems might be our only hope.
Also, the Sherman Anti-Trust Act is still the law of the land. If our government would simply enforce it, we might break up some of the concentration on that front too?

I ain't troubled at all because I've known this back in the days of 9/11, bothering Christine Amanpour and many CNN reporters are saying roughly the same things, during the war in Iraq they (CNN, BBC,......) all said the same thing, guess what? In the interview with leaders of nations on so many news channel they've all had there answers all played out. And we are meant to believe all what they said, if you have read :Social Engineering (The Art of Human Hacking) you'll understand my thoughts perfectly.
