RE: Someone Finally Explained What Just Happened in Syria, and It Will Make You Question Everything

in #news7 years ago

This is some seriously quality writing @emmafiala - I think people are starting to wake up to the war-hungry US government, they can't seem to stay out of other peoples countries. Given the US has a terrible history of entering wars under false pretences like Iraq, yet here we are again.

Having read up on Assad, the stories just don't add up that he would do this to the Syrian people. Considering he has majority support of the Syrian people, not everyone supports Assad but that's normal for every country to have a subset of citizens who don't align with the current political power and want them ousted.

Every bit of information people outside of Syria get fed is from news and can we really trust the same news organisations that supported the failed and long-running Iraq war?

I have just given you a follow, I am always on the lookout for quality Steemit writers. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with, this was a great read.

I've been putting together a little index of SteemIt resources, with Part 6 covering Syria.

that's a great idea! thanks for taking the time to do that. not everyone has time to sift through all that is syria.

I did include you in Part 1. I hope that the entry is accurate, as the original post is now over a week old and can no longer be changed.

thank you @beggars! yes, it does seem more people are waking up to this fact though at the same time, those who are not waking up are going so far into the propaganda rabbit hole.. it's terrifying at times. it's so encouraging to find like minded humans who see through it all.

yes, you're right. the stories about assad just don't add up and the majority of syrians do support him. no leader is perfect.. ever. there will always be critics. this is normal.

thank you for reading! :)
