Media's Vastly Different POV

For some reason, there are news stations that consistently side with certain types of views. For instance, if you watch FOX News consistently, you may notice that they tend to side against POC. During the rash of police shootings, FOX was first on the scene to point out any indiscretions of a POC that had been killed. Most recently, there was an incident with two POC in a Starbucks in Philadelphia. FOX News stated that the police had done nothing wrong. Upon further investigation, it was found that they had indeed done something wrong. The men in question had not committed a crime and were unlawfully arrested. No matter what the circumstances, there seems to be a negative slant against those who are not of the majority in the U.S.A. Some may ask what is the relevance. It can be said that media has an enormous impact on how people in the United States view POC. Their perception is skewed by continuous bombardment by the media sending repetitive negative message across all forms of media. The question still remains, why does media spend so much time and money crafting this narrative when it comes to POC?
