China's Muslim group has arrested 10 million people of Uyghur: UN

The United Nations has claimed that 10 million Muslims of the Uyghur community were detained in anti-extremist political camps. But the Chinese government did not comment on the UN's claim

According to BBC Online news, the United Nations Human Rights Committee said that China has arrested 10 million Uighurs Muslims in 'Counter-Extremism Centers'. In an ongoing session in Geneva, member of the United Nations Ethnic Discrimination Committee, Gay MacDougall, made this demand in a two-day United Nations meeting on China.

The majority of Muslims in the Xinjiang province, rich in gold, oil and gas resources in the western region of China. They are Uyghur Sunni Muslims. They spoke in the Uighur language of the Turkish language, not the Chinese. In this province there are violent acts of separatism and religious militancy. The main terrorist organization of the Uighur militant East Turkistan Islamic Movement (EITM) is banned as a terrorist organization. At the same time, the United States highlights the situation of Shinchiang's human rights and persecution of the Uighurs.

Gay McDougal said in the meeting that the arrest of such a large number of Uighur detainees is alarming. Beijing has made it to the Uyghur autonomous region that it can be kept in detention.

But the Chinese delegation did not immediately comment on this.

Earlier, Beijing has denied the existence of such a political camp alongside.

There have been allegations that for a few months people of Uyghur and other Muslim communities are being detained from Shinchian province.

Human rights organizations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch have reported to the UN Committee that Uighurs are being held in various camps in China. There the prisoners were forced to express allegiance to China's President C China Ping.

The World Uyghur Congress has accused Uyghur of being arrested without specific allegations. The detainees were forced to give a communist slogan. They are not fed properly. Physical torture is also done.

In April, US senior diplomat Laura Stone said millions of people were detained at different centers as part of the government's rigorous operation.

In response to this, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying said that people of small ethnicities in Shinxi Province work with peace and happiness and enjoy a peaceful, improved life.
