The WikiLeaks founder's recommendation to Trump's son
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the president of the United States, is in the eye of the hurricane by the mails he exchanged in the middle of the presidential campaign with lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, who would be linked to Putin's government, and would have offered him information on Hillary Clinton. After the New York Times revealed the existence of the couriers, Trump's son had no choice but to accept that the meeting existed.
However, he was surprised that hours later he published the contents of the mails. Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, wrote in his Twitter account that he contacted Trump Jr. and told him to post his emails. The son of the tycoon has not said where the idea came from putting on talks with the Russians, but his father publicly applauded his "transparency".
This is believable, but hard to figure out the "Why". Did Assange just take advantage of Jr.'s gullibility? Is there actually a benefit? Is it purely to save face in an impossible situation? So many questions...
