BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:20 P.M.) - The jihadist rebels attempted to move their forces towards the Idlib buffer zone, today, prompting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to strike the militants before they could settle.

According to a field report from the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army opened fire on the jihadist rebels near the key town of Kafr Naboudeh, inflicting a number of casualties in the militant ranks.

The Syrian Arab Army was reportedly monitoring the jihadist rebels for several hours near Kafr Naboudeh before they finally struck the militants this afternoon.

The jihadist rebels were supposed to withdraw from the Idlib buffer zone, per the Sochi Agreement that was established on September 17th; however, they have refused to leave the designated area.

As a result of their refusal, the jihadist rebels have found themselves under attack by the Syrian Arab Army almost daily.
