The social media giant today announced its newest policy update, which bans advertising for ICOs campaigns and all other forms of virtual currency from its online service.

In a blog post on January 30, Rob Leathern, product management director of the company, said the new policy covers advertisements, crypto money exchanges, ico promotions that support misleading or deceptive financial products and services.
He went on to say: We want people to explore new products and services with Facebook ads and continue to learn about them without being deceived or fearful of fraud. There are many companies that offer binary options, ICOs and crypto currency advertisements that do not operate in good faith at this time. With this policy, we are working to better understand deceptive and misleading advertising practices. We will implement this policy after Facebook, on other platforms like the Instagram

Many of the users on the social media site were likely to see ads that promised high return on investment as well as ads that distributed ticketing for early engagement. However, users are also confronted with crypto-market advertisements that they can invest in.

Facebook can bring ban , Bitcoin and ico and on the other platforms
Leathern argued that for such advertisements, he violated the policy developed against fraudulent activities. Leathern stated that this policy will extend to other platforms within the interests of Facebook, including the popular photo sharing application Instagram.

Shuan added that this policy will continue but that it can be changed in the future. When asked about the question of when to replace it said that it can not give any time.
