As a result of the extra £750k secured by the Conservative led motion for substantive road repairs, the Old Doune Road has substantive road repairs been made worth over £35k. This stretch of road has regularly required temporary repairs with Local Conservative Councillor receiving a number of complaints regarding the condition of this road.

The section of Old Doune Road near Dunblane High School has seen footway improvements, where the former mini-pinch points have now also been removed as part of the works. To ensure that pupil safety is not compromised as a result of the mini pinch points being removed traffic will be monitored and if required alternative more suitable traffic management features will be considered.

Local Conservative Councillor Alastair Majury said:
“I’ve received a number of complaints relating to both the state of this road and the mini pinch points. I am pleased that the council have listened to these concerns and have promptly agreed and completed the required works.”
