Religion? Or Science? Or Both

I have always been wondering what the world is? Have you? Let's think about this. Is there an intelligence behind it? Did things happen spontaneously and yet have become near perfect if not perfect? I've been torn between the two but this is what I feel now?

I believe in science, it is practical and deals with the knowledge through observation and experimentation. It is often without doubts. But science cant explain every existence. This invites Religion. Religion gives explanations based on the divine and often without concrete proofs. For instance, science answers the beginning of the universe based on the big bang theory. Anything that makes should be made so what made what began the big bang? Religion says God made it, then the question, who made God? Humans have tried to answer the beginning of the universe through science and religion but without any definite answer of proof. Does this make both lies? Or one a liar? Or both truth?
I believe in religion also. Lots of happenings occur and they really do exist lots of situations that cant be explained by science eg voodoo magic, witchcraft, ritual money etc. I say this as an African. I have personal experiences which will be shared soon...
