Tsukiji Hongwanji Buddhist Temple Book Store 築地本願寺ブックセンター

I visited Tsukiji Hongwanji and its book center on September 24th.
9月24日、築地本願寺の本屋さんに行きました。

A sculpture of Shinran and a architectural masterpiece temple building which designed by Japanese architect, Ito Chuta.
親鸞聖人像と伊東忠太による名建築のお堂。

There are many picture books and materials on this temple and we can read freely.
Shinran's life was very wild and tough...
境内では、絵本や資料も充実して用意されており、自由に閲覧できます。
親鸞のご生涯は、まさに波乱万丈だったのですね。

This is Tsukiji Hongwanji original rice cracker. It may be good for your souvenir. It is made of the rice which offered to the Buddha.
I bought some crackers since I remembered my grandmother's words which I often heard when I was a little, " If we eat the offering rice to Buddha, we never get hungry."
仏様にお供えされたご飯を使った築地本願寺オリジナルおせんべい。
仏飯をいただくと、お腹が空かなくなると幼少の頃よく聞いた祖母の言葉を思い出し、購入しました。

Various kinds of lotus were planted in the temple.
境内には色々な種類の蓮子がありました。

A lion like Sphinx. There are lots of animals decorations in the building, and it is fun to find.
スフィンクスのような獅子。たくさんの動物の装飾が建物にあり、見つけるのが楽しいです。

There is a bookshop in the building on the left side of the main hall building.
本堂の左側にある建物内に書店があります。

From Buddhism to architecture and cuisine, interesting books of various genres are nicely curated.
I choose these two books.
仏教から建築、料理まで、興味深い様々なジャンルの本がとても良い感じにキュレーションされており、ついつい長居してしまいます。
今回はこちら２冊を買いました。


There are cafés where you can eat Japanese cuisine menus that are arranged in contemporary style.
I had a late lunch with Yuba and Kyo Matcha raw pasta and sea bream soup udon.
おしゃれで、築地界隈では大変手頃に、精進料理を現代風にアレンジしたようなメニューが食べられるカフェもあります。
湯葉と京抹茶の生パスタと鯛出汁うどんで遅めのお昼をいただき、ひとやすみしました。
