DBM - 002: Winter Is Coming, Power Up!

How many of us saw Game of Thrones? Especially the season 6 where John Snow was on a movement to inform and mobilize as much forces as he could to fighting the White Walkers. He didn't just hear about it, He saw them! Remember Sam too? He was also preaching the same message. He hadn't just heard about the White Walkers, He had his own encounter with them, and even fought with one and killed it. Why wouldn't they have been convinced? On the flip side, do you remember how difficult it was for many of the people to believe? The reason wasn't far fetched - They had not seen. And that is the problem of a lot of people today! They want to see before they act, which isn't a bad idea in some given circumstances (John Snow would probably have been chilling, Kinging in The North if he didn't see what he saw, so seeing in that circumstance was vital to His crusade). However, the problem with that is that many times at the point of seeing, the deed would already have been happening or would have already happened which in the best of circumstances leaves you out of the greater benefits, and in the worse circumstances, could leave you stuck, regretful, or helpless.

Why am I saying all these?
Being at the beginning stage of my journey here on steemit, I get to have a lot of conversations with my brother @jerryboy4luv who introduced this platform to me. He has been so helpful in clarifying a lot of things for me and giving me a soft landing in understanding how this idea works. So I was in a conversation with him very recently and He was talking very passionately with me about the potentials of steemit especially in the nearest future and how many aren't still seeing the potentials.

He told me of when He first heard of it from @samstickz that it felt like a joke until He he finally decided to join in and test the waters. Now he is on a crusade (and I and many others have joined him too) in getting many more people aware of the potency of the Steem cryptocurrency.

In our conversation we used Bitcoin as a first example to analyse the future of Steem (In the case of my Game of Thrones scenario, witnessing what happened with Bitcoin would be like John Snow seeing the White Walkers and campaigning for a joint preparation to fight them).
We know that the people who are enjoying the benefits of Bitcoin the most today are those who took the risk in investing in the currency at its early stages. And that isn't too far from what we have seen here on steemit as well. Those who saw the potentials early and bought Steem at its very beginning stages are the most people enjoying the greater benefits today.

But the beautiful thing about this is that it is still early for people to get in. The Steem currency is still at a very good rate to purchase and power up. My brother made me understand that Steemit is about to launch their smart media tokens which will cause the value of the currency to skyrocket, and we all know what that means - Gold! And this in my Game of Thrones scenerio represents "Winter" - where you wished you prepared and took necessary actions beforehand.

And like I mentioned earlier, the only problem is that because a lot of people haven't seen the potentials here yet, they are being very reluctant in investing in the currency, all they keep seeing are "Risks". Matter of fact, there are some people who are already here on steemit and still haven't seen what treasure they have in their hands. I might be a newbie here but there were certain things I saw that sold me on this from the get-go! I knew that this is not a bubble as many people think but rather a gold mine! And I'm planning to power up Big time! I'm only writing this for those who have the capacity to do so but are still unbelieving.

I don't intend for this to be a lengthy read, so I'll spread my thoughts on this progressively across my DBMs to come.

Guys, winter is coming! Steem would take the world by surprise and you don't want to be left out. Power up!
