This is probably not the real way of doing it, but as an alternative, how about trying Steepshot (for Android)? They are currently beta, sure, but at least you can upload photos which you have posted before.

I'll look that up too, I only ever heard of Steemit through a Youtuber and thought I'd check it to see what the fuss is about
