Vodafone effect: Airtel revises Rs 499 postpaid plan to offer unlimited calls, 75GB data and more
Last month, Vodafone revised its RED postpaid plans to offer up to 87 percent more data to its users, after which Airtel also revised its postpaid plans. And while Airtel did not make any changed to the popular Rs 499 plan, it has now reportedly revamped the plan to offer nearly double data.
According to a report on TelecomTalk, Bharti Airtel is now offering 75GB 3G / 4G data on the Rs 499 plan, up from 40GB that it used to offer before. However, at the time of filing the story, the changes were not visible on the site. The publication also mentions that the plan come with up to 500GB rollover data.
Furthermore, the plan also offers unlimited local and STD calls without FUP, unlimited national roaming, and 100 free SMS daily. Subscribers also get complimentary Amazon Prime subscription for one-year. As a part of the package, Airtel TV access, Wynk Music access and handset protection plan are also included.
Airtel s other postpaid plans include the same calling and roaming benefits. The Rs 649 plan offers 90GB data, Rs 799 plan offers 100GB data, whereas the Rs 1,199 plan offers 120GB data. All of these plans also come with up to 500GB data rollover.

Meanwhile, Vodafone s Rs 499 plan offers 75GB data, along with unlimited local and STD calls, unlimited roaming, and 200GB data rollover. The plan also offers 1-year Vodafone Play subscription, and one-year Amazon Prime subscription. Users also get a device protection plan worth Rs 300 completely free with this plan.

Vodafone also introduced the RED Basic 299 plan which offers 20GB data, 100 local and national SMS, unlimited calling, and unlimited incoming and outgoing calls for free. The plan also includes complimentary Vodafone Play subscription.
