Google acquires HTC’s Pixel team for $1.1 billion
Bits of gossip had been flowing as of late that Google was arranging an offer for HTC — either the whole organization or simply its cell phones unit. Today, Google formally demonstrated its hand: Certain HTC representatives, including numerous who are dealing with Pixel cell phones, will join the Alphabet organization. Consequently, Google will pay HTC $1.1 billion in real money.
The exchange is required to close by mid 2018.
