A very interesting fact about Netherlands

Today I learned that the royal crown of the Netherlands is made of silver plated with gold, and does not contain precious stones or pearls. Instead, the crown is encrusted with glass stone imitations and small balls coated with fish skin that resemble pearls. The humble crown, created in 1840, is in use today.
