Netflix has a lot of very good original series in its database, not only American ones. It's easy to get lost in their thicket, and it's hard to decide what to look at in the end. Maybe it's worth following the community assessment? Which of them are therefore the highest rated?

Below is a list of over 20 Netflix Originals (Polish version of the site), which - in general, were rated the highest by the community of IMDb and Filmweb portals. I added the ratings from each of these sites and divided them into two. The average rating of each show went out to me. These were ranked from the highest to the lowest rated. It is worth noting, however, that the minimum score the serial has received here is 8. Not much, right?

House of Cards

Not only the highest rated, but probably the loudest TV series from Netflix Original. However, despite appearances, it was not the first - before him was Lilyhammer, a Norwegian-American production, telling about a gangster who has to change his life and is moving to Norway. House of Cards is an adaptation of the novel by Michael Dobbs. The production also refers to the BBC miniseries, Dom z kart, from 1990. The plot focuses on the figure of Frank Underwood, a cynical and ruthless politician who dreams of becoming the President of the United States. In the main role we have been watching Kevin Spacey so far, but the actor - due to the accusations of sexual harassment - will not perform in the last season of the series, which is scheduled for this year.

Stranger Things

The flagship product of Netfliks, which for a few years has electrified fans. The story is about a group of young people living in Hawkins in the 1980s. One of them, Will, dies in unexplained circumstances. The boy's mother, brother and his friends try to find the boy at any price. Unfortunately, it will not be so easy, especially that supernatural forces have a part in it. Stranger Things captivates and plays the sentiment - the series is full of references to iconic movies from the 80s and 70s. Currently, photos are being taken for the 3rd production season, which we will most likely see next year.

Narcos

Narcosa's story began with the narrative of the drug baron Pablo Escobar, but evolved over time and Narcos introduced us to the fate of other gangsters. In the third series, we got the story of the Cali cartel. 4th season, which will debut this year, will take place in Mexico. The cast was joined by Michael Peña and Diego Luna. Out of curiosity: Narcos is the highest rated Netflix Original on Filmweb. It is right in front of the House of Cards and it ranks sixth on the list of the 100 best sitcoms on the site.

Initially, the Black mirror was produced by the BBC, but a few years ago the baton was taken over by Netflix.

Who does not love Queen Elizabeth? They love it and the viewers of the series. The Crown is a production devoted to her life from the time of coronation. The main role was played by Claire Foy. The actress played the main character in the second seasons of production. We get to know the story of a man, Steven Avery, who, as a result of fabricating evidence by the police, sat in prison for many years. The Defiant Ones

It is quite funny that in Poland this series is available in Netflix as Netflix Original, because HBO is responsible for its production. The Defiant Ones tells the story of the success and cooperation of two music stars: Dre and Jimmy Iovine. The series consists of four episodes. All are available on the website.

The Punisher

One of the serials resulting from the co-production of Marvel and Netflix. The Punisher is a perfect murderer and a former soldier who wants to avenge the death of his family. The series of the giant VOD talks about the war trauma of this hero, trying to find himself in a new reality. Frank Bernthal starred as Frank Castle aka Punisher.

Daredevil

And another coproduction of Marvel and Netfliks. Daredevil, or Matt Murdock, is a blind lawyer who fights crime on the streets of New York. His exceptional strength and at the same time the weapon are sharpened senses. Charlie Cox starred in the title role. Two seasons of production are available on the site.

Anne

A serial version of the story from the pages of the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Ania from Zielona Wzgórza is a character known to everyone. The story of a growing up red-haired girl, and later a woman, is moving and amusing readers all over the world for many years. Netfliks' production is a bit darker than the original, but anyway - or maybe because of that - has gained a lot of fans. We are currently waiting for the 2nd season.

One day something strange happens in the hotel and an unexpected guest enters his apartment. That someone is Dirk Gently, a holistic detective. Dirk persuades Todd to become his helper. Young men together will solve puzzles that, for example, require ... time travel. You know, everything is holistic.

Call Saul

Call Saul is a spin-off of the popular Breaking Bad, which is still considered by many viewers to be the best series ever. Better Call Saul is also a prequel that focuses on the past of the title lawyer. Saul, before he became Saul, had a golden heart, but he had always been a cower in his heart and constantly getting into trouble. The main character was played by Bob Odenkirk, and the series also returned a few other characters from Breaking Bad. Spin-off, however, quickly stood on its own feet. It delights with a slow-moving narration, expressive creation of heroes, remarkable cadres and scenography of alive from the 90s.

Production of the Wachowski Sisters, which tells about eight peers with extraordinary abilities. Each of the characters can telepathically contact other members of the mentioned group of people. Though they share thousands of kilometers, they can help themselves at a distance and use their supernatural powers. The series from the beginning aroused considerable controversy due to the topic of queer. On 8 June, the final episode of the series will debut in Netfliks, which will close the story presented in the 2 previous seasons of production.

Mindhunter

Mindhunter talks about the time when the concept of "serial killer" was born in forensics. The plot is based on the book Mindhunter: the secrets of an elite FBI unit dealing with the prosecution of serial criminals. Its authors are Mark Olshaker and John Douglas. The main character in the series, Holden Ford, played by Jonathan Groff, is based on the character of Douglas, who in his work led many conversations with criminals such as Charles Manson and Ed Kemper. The series focuses on its professional aspect and private life. The protagonist conducts research on serial murderers and together with his partner solves various criminal cases.

The Expanse

A sci-fi series that has lasted for three seasons. It has been erased, but there is a chance that the production will save Amazon by continuing to create it. The series takes place in the future, 200 years later than now. The series is about Jim Holeden and Josephus Aloisus Miller. Holden is the deputy commander of the ship, engaged in towing ice blocks from the Saturn Ring to the Pasa station. In turn, Miller is a detective who is looking for one missing girl. Soon it will turn out that it can be the key to solving a bigger mystery. The solar system is in danger and is at risk of war.

Grace and Frankie

The story of two older grandmothers who are still young in spirit. Grace and Frankie are rivals. Their lives, however, change completely when it turns out that their husbands are in love with each other. And what's more, they intend to be together - they are planning a marriage. Witty, but also touching series with a good cast. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin performed in the title roles.

Manhunt: Unabomber

A series inspired by facts and telling you about an attempt to capture Ted Kaczynski, known as Unabomber. Terrorism in the United States for many years had just his face. Kaczynski sent bombs to various people, institutions and organizations related to m.in. with education. In the series we are watching an investigation that will lead to his capture from the perspective of an FBI officer, Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald.

Orange is the New Black

Orange Is the New Black is - apart from the House of Cards - one of the most well-known Netflix series. The story is about Piper Chapman, who is sentenced to 15 months in prison. The woman goes to Litchfield, where she has to deal with a world full of rebellious and difficult women. An additional problem is the fact that he meets there his ex-lover, through which he went to prison ... The plot of the series is inspired by real events and the life of Piper Kerman, who published a book about her stay in a prison.

Tabula Rasa

Tabula Rasa is a Belgian Netflix Original series. The main character of the production is Annemie D'Haeze, played by Veerle Baetens. The woman suffers from unusual amnesia. Western in the Netfliks edition? This is the Godless series. And if women would take the baton so much ... It is to such a town in the Wild West, which is inhabited by a beautiful sex, that a cruel criminal is going. The man is looking for a member of his gang who started a new life surrounded by women. The show featured the same stars, such as Jeff Daniels, Jack O'Connell and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
