THE END OF NET NEUTRALITY... WHAT DOES IT MEAN???

Im sure all of you have read heard or watched by now that the FCC has voted 3/2 to repeal net neutrality.

WHAT EXACTLY IS NET NEUTRALITY?
The net neutrality rules were approved by the FCC in 2015 amid an outpouring of online support. The intention was to keep the internet open and fair.

Under the rules, internet service providers are required to treat all online content the same. They can't deliberately speed up or slow down traffic from specific websites or apps, nor can they put their own content at an advantage over rivals. This means Comcast can't just choose to slow down a service like Netflix (NFLX) to make its own streaming video service more competitive, nor can it try to squeeze Netflix to pay more money to be part of a so-called internet fast lane.

Ajit Pai, the FCC chairman appointed by President Trump, has framed the repeal as getting the government to "stop micromanaging the internet."

Pai even went as far as to create a video of "7 things you can still do on the internet after the repeal.." here is a link to that piece of garbage in its entirety...

Funny thing is that it it very possible that you will NOT be able to stream something as simple as netflix the same now. Im sorry but the day they charge me $.02 a google search i'm out. does anyone else feel like we are being conditioned out of our freedom of information???

One things for sure there are big changes in store for the way we use the internet.. good or bad we will just have to wait and see what big telecom does when granted the right to do as they wish with your internet service.
